The school year is more than half-way over. I am a little sad about that because first grade has been phenomenal for Harrison. We love his teacher, we love his class. We love everything about first grade. And of course, first grade would not be complete, without a special performance by all the first graders.
All five first grade classes put on the play, "The Little Engine That Could." A classic, with a good message. Each first grader got to choose three parts they would like to play, and the teachers assigned a part. Harrison was assigned his first choice which was the part of The Shiny New Engine. He even made his own costume (well they all did, but the tin foil looked exceptional!).
Lines were recited perfectly and songs were sung exuberantly! Of course I showed up 30 minutes early to get a front row seat! It was worth it! What a great production. It is so easy to be proud of this little guy!
